In this section you will find information on mental health problems, treatments and self-help strategies.

There are many different opinions on the diagnosis of mental illness and we have included both the clinical diagnostic tools and the descriptions of mental health problems offered by mental health advocacy organisations.

Similarly, in looking at treatments we have chosen to include information on the wide range of clinical and talking cures available, although these too can be controversial.

This section also offers advice for carers, as well as information on the financial support available for mental health service users and refugees.
