Mainliners is a limited company and a registered national HIV charity working with ex and current injecting drug users, commercial sex workers, and others directly affected by these and other issues such as hepatitis.

We are a voluntary organisation funded by grants and public donations.

Our work is unique as we target those who are most vulnerable because of their injecting drug use, health, social and economic status.

The work is also extended to those who are affected by drug use, HIV and hepatitis. There is also a Hepatitis C Support Group that meets here.

Mainliners operates within a model of self determination, confidence and trust and empowerment of the users. Mainliners believes there is no single method or model of care to meet the diverse needs of our service user group. .There is a translaton of this web site in French, Portuguese, Italian & Spanish. The holistic approach to HIV prevention enables Mainliners staff to consider a wide range of factors when determining the most appropriate level and range of intervention.

We publish a monthly national Mainliners Newsletter as well as organising conferences and offering training in a variety of subjects in the HIV prevention, drug use and commercial sex work fields. Please look at the training page for a full list of what is being presented in the coming months.
