Torture affects children both directly as victims and witnesses torture of close family members, and indirectly through disruption of the family, home, and education. The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture has teams offering help to children, adolescents and families.

The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture

Founded in 1985, the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture provides care and rehabilitation to survivors of torture and other forms of organised violence. This is the leading organization for the documentation and care of victims of torture in the UK.

AMANI Trust

Community-based rehabilitation of survivors of torture. It is a Zimbabwean-registered non-governmental organisation (Zimbabwe). It includes the provision of services for the rehabilitation of victims of human rights violations, particularly torture, repressive violence and institutionalised violence. Useful site.
