WHO: Immunization

WHO Vaccine Preventable Diseases Monitoring System collects data on immunization coverage and incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases. Disease incidence is included for: polio, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), measles, tetanus, and yellow fever. Data are also included for the number of tetanus cases occurring among infants less than 28 days of age. Percent of immunization coverage is included for those receiving a dose of BCG (Bacille Calmette Guerin), a third dose of diphtheria toxoid, a third dose of tetanus toxoid, a third dose of pertussis vaccine, one dose of measles vaccine, a third dose of hepatitis type B vaccine, a third dose of haemophilus influenza type B vaccine, a third dose of polio vaccine, and one dose of yellow fever vaccine. Also included is coverage among pregnant women (or, according to National policy, women of childbearing age) receiving a second (or additional) dose of tetanus toxoid.
